Before 19 year old Freddy Adu was sent from Benfica to Monaco, he was offered to the LA Galaxy, the New York Red Bulls, and Seattle Sounders FC according to this NY Times Article.
Sounders FC Announce TV Deal
Today, the Seattle Sounders FC announced a Broadcast Deal that all [non-nationally broadcast] games will be televised on KONG-6 and KING-5.
Former “Voice of the Sonics”, Kevin Calabro was also announced as the club’s Play-by-Play announcer.
Nate Jaqua to Sounders FC (via Houston)?
It looks like former University of Portland star, Nate Jaqua, is heading back to the MLS to the Houston Dynamo from his stint at SCR Altach. Then, “the forward would then be traded to Seattle FC for the 2009 season under an agreement with the expansion franchise…” according to The Houston Chronicle.
Season Ticket Sale Update
Season Deposit Conversions has been going on for nearly 2 months now. So how are Sounders FC doing? So far about 17,000 Season Tickets have been purchased. This means that only about 7,000 tickets per game will be available per game to non Season Ticket holders (based on the current 24,500 capacity without opening the Hawk’s Nest).
