Sounders FC Had Shot at Freddy Adu
Before 19 year old Freddy Adu was sent from Benfica to Monaco, he was offered to the LA Galaxy, the New York Red Bulls, and Seattle Sounders FC according to this NY Times Article.
Due to Adu’s contract, he would have had to claim a Designated Player spot in MLS- something that the Sounders FC Front Office didn’t want to use on Freddy.
