Qwest Field Gets Praise from the KC Wizards
Jose Miguel Romero from the Seattle Times, wrote a quick little article about how Qwest Field impressed the Wizards of Kansas City when the MLS team was in Seattle for the US Open Cup Quarterfinal.
Sounders FC are a very lucky club to have such excellent facilities to play in. Even though Qwest is not a soccer-specific stadium, the football folks are doing their best to make the pitch as top notch and world class that they can!
Article on Starfire Training Facility Expansion
The Seattle Times has written a great piece on the Sounders/Sounders FC expansion of the Starfire Complex in Tukwila.
- It is the “center of soccer in the northwest”
- Plans on being the best MLS practice facility
- The Facility will still access for community use
- Construction will be completed by Dec 1
Details on the KING 5 TV Deal
Sounders FC has a story with the detail on the KING 5 TV Broadcast deal with BELO Corporation.
- All 30 regular season games will be broadcast on KING 5 or KONG 6/16
- Kevin Calabro will provide play by play for all games
- A weekly show is in the works
- Sounders FC stories will be broadcasted daily on KING News or Northwest Sports Tonight (which will bring Sounders FC into homes of residents in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and British Columbia)

In all of the hoopla surrounding Kasey Keller’s signing yesterday, we came across a snippet about Sebastien Le Toux’s contract that we never saw when Le Toux became the first players for Sounders FC back in May.
Le Toux signed for $84,000 in base salary, $96,000 in guaranteed money.

It’s Official: Kasey Keller to Sounders FC
The Seattle PI is reporting that it will, indeed, be former US National Team Goalkeeper, and Lacey native, Kasey Keller who will be announced at a 2p Press Conference on Tuesday.
Keller joins Sebastien LeToux as the signed players for Sounders FC.

In order to accommodate active campaigning, and to ensure each Member of the Association has an opportunity to be voted onto council, the voting deadline has been extended.As a Sounders FC season ticket holder, you are already a Member of the Association. As a member of Council, you will meet twice a year with members of the front office staff and ownership and serve as the pulse of the Members Association.
