freddie, no not freddy, to sign?
last weeks rumor mill (still a rumor until he signs) was about freddy montero, the young columbian starlet.

todays rumor mill is about freddie ljungberg, the seasoned ex sweden captain, at least according to goal seattle’s sources.
if this is true, i love it. there is no doubt that freddie has lost a step in the english game, and i don’t meant to imply that the MLS is slow, but i don’t think that will effect him much in the this league. he may not out run the top defenders, no, but he is cunning and has very good ball control. but the biggest thing he could bring is his leadership. i said a month back that keller would make a great captain, nad i think that is still true, but i have always prefered captains in the middle of the park. freddie has played in countless world cups, euro cups, champions league matches, fa cups, and has won the premiership 3 times (if i remember correctly). he knows how to win, and he has a fire about him. he expects the best from everyone, and that would be invaluable.
it would remain to be sean whether his experience and nice link up play would be enough to make up for his dip in speed. but i for one would love to see him in a sounders jersey.
