Can’t Wait for Tickets to Go On Sale?
The secondary market for Sounders FC tickets is already taking off.
You can already find single game tickets available throughout the stadium for all of the home games at Qwest Field.
Interestingly enough, tickets for the Inaugural Opener against New York RedBulls are the cheapest, with some sellers listing tickets for $39. But I’m sure those won’t last long!
Barcelona to Play Two in Seattle?
Seattle Sounders FC season ticket holders have been told that “three exhibition games” would be included in their 2009 package. And rumors have been flying since then…
Let’s remember that some rumors from Barcelona a month ago noted that the La Liga team from Catalonia could be headed to the Pacific Northwest this summer.
On top of that, Adrian Hanauer has noted that a friendly with English Premiership club Chelsea FC was “very, very, very close to happening” which is an exciting development.
Now, we add the newest insight an FC Barcelona Blog… Read more
all games can be heard on the radio
jose with the times has noted that he got word that all sounders games will be aired on 97.3 with Callabro doing the play by play…
my first thought was “great”, but then my second thought was… wait, does calling a game for TV translate into a good radio broadcast?…
i honestly don’t know. obviously baseball they have different tv and radio announcers. For basketball, it is usually the same play by play caller, at least it was for the sonics. I am pretty sure american football uses different announcers but i don’t know that for a fact.
i have heard a lot of games called for soccer on the radio, and i am pretty certain that they radio centric, but i don’t know the answer for sure.
anyone have any insight or opinion on this?

Another Newcomer to Camp: Jacob Lensky

Lensky played at Feyenoord Rotterdam in the Dutch Eredivisie last year but left the club.
He is a 5′10″, 15olb 20-year old Midfielder.
Just two days ago, The Province ran a story on Lensky, Finding urge to play again. When he left the Netherlands, he returned home to Vancouver. “Happiness, he said, was the only priority, and he’s found that again since returning to Vancouver. It’s come in the little things, like being able to call up his friends and go for coffee.”
Now Lensky is back in Cascadia, with two season of European Professional futbol under his belt, 2 hours south from his home in Vancouver battling for a spot on Sounders FC.
Jeff Parke Heading to Belguim?
Jeff Parke, who was selected by Sounders FC in the Expansion Draft, is headed to Belguim for a tryout with two clubs according to the Seattle Times.
Parke was a gamble for Seattle because he was not under contract with the New York Red Bulls during the draft. He also has 5 games left to serve on an MLS suspension for Substance Abuse.

san jose get duped into pyramid scheme
in other news, a door to door salesman showed up on the training grounds of San Jose this week. before you call my bluff, have you ever been to the san jose training ground? they have a large door that says “solicitors welcome”, so know you know my story is all true. anyway, a “salesman” mentioned to a club representative that if they just print a specific logo on the front of their jersey, and then they get some people to buy some of those jerseys, and then everyone that buys those jerseys has three friends to buy more jerseys and so on and so on, well they would make a lot of money.
it sounded like a solid idea, and that is how san jose thought it would be a good idea to put AMWAY on the front of their jersey.
you may not like X-Box as a sponsor, but thank your lucky stars that you are not going to be the laughing stock of the errrr, people who… err… laugh at your shirt… sponsor…, or something like that anyway.
san jose… ha ha ha ah haha ha ah…. amway haaha ha hha hha *sigh*
2009 Schedule Released!
The Schedule for the 2009 Inaugural Season for Seattle Sounders FC in MLS has been released.
What do you think?
9 Games will be televised nationally. With the unbalanced number of MLS teams, Seattle will host San Jose twice and will be on the road to Chivas USA twice. Sounders FC will face all other teams once at home and once on the road.
