This article, Freddy Montero afirmó que hará la pretemporada en la MLS y sigue pendiente de España, on futbolred.com loosley traslates to: Freddy Montero has affirmed that he will begin the preseason in Seattle, and then maybe Spain.

In short, the article notes that Freddy Montero will be in Seattle when Training Camp opens next week. However, if the deal with Spain’s Real Betis, is finalized by the end of January, he will move on to the La Liga squad.

    So, he’s coming! Unless he doesn’t? Got it. Seriously, he’d be a great addition. The fact he’s even being considered by Betis shows that. That any player is considering an MLS team alongside a La Liga team speaks volumes about the improving image of MLS, and probably more specifically the credibility of SSFC.
