Vagenas to Have Knee Surgery

Peter Vagenas hasn’t even made it to the Pacific Northwest yet for training camp, but he is already out for an orthroscopic knee surgery. According to Jose Romero, he has “a bone bruise above the knee but now it will have to be further examined.”

    Stories like this make me wonder if some of the expansion draftees are trade bait shortly, or if they will even make the senior roster…

    Backpass Vagenas will probably be fine by season’s start. Don’t know if that’s good or bad. Hell, he’s a good guy despite his critics. His presence will help even if it’s to ride the pine and help Sigi mentor the younger players into his system.
