Qwest to Hold Gold Cup
The locals would say that it was always here. But there is no doubt that Sounders FC are doing a great job in expanding the prominence of soccer in Seattle.
After the announcement that the Emerald City will host the MLS Cup in November, is the announcement that Qwest Field will be hosting a game in the CONCACAF Gold Cup this summer.
The July 4th game will be a first round game.
The Gold Cup will consist of 12 nations; US, Mexico, Canada, Jamaica, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Cuba, Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador, and Nicaragua.
The schedule will be announced at a later time.
