The Newest Turn in the Montero News

The Seattle Times is now reporting that King County Prosecutors are considering criminal charges against Fredy Montero as a Bellevue woman has accused the Colombian of raping her- twice; on March 15th and March 22nd.

COMMENTARY

This morning, The PI reported that the woman had made an accusation of Sexual Assault on 3/22 and of stalking on 3/31. Bellevue Police dismissed the stalking charge earlier today as “coincedence”. But now this afternoon, the 3/22 sexual assault accusation is upgraded to rape and an in itial incident occured on 3/15. Why wasn’t the 3/15 rape reported sooner? Or at least this morning? That just doesn’t sound right.

As a reminder, this is under investigation. No charges have been filed against Montero.

    Really hoping all of this is made up because he’s getting famous now.  It’d be such a blow to lose him.  C’mon you sounders!

    Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof.  If Montero’s accuser (who, inronically gets to remain anonymous) had such proof, Montero would be in custody now.

    She lied about being stalked, so one must question her accusations of assault.  That she reported the assault to the police after it supposedly happened a SECOND time begs the question. 

    The only reason an investigation is under way is that it is obligatory.  Once the Bellevue PD has gone through the motions, this will be dismissed.
