Designated Player and former Swedish National Team captain Freddie Ljungberg got his first MLS start today in Toronto. 15 minutes later he scored his first goal.

#1 Draft Pick Steve Zakuani added another goal a minute before half as Sounders FC and Kasey Keller recorded their third consecutive shutout win, this time 2-0 at the blustery BMO Field.

The win gives Seattle a perfect 3-0-0 record and Keller’s slate is perfectly clean not giving up a goal this season.

Sounders FC next match will be at Qwest Field against the Kansas City Wizards next Saturday. Tickets are still available.

Wow.   Just…wow.  I would have been happy with a draw, given that it was our first away match, in Toronto no less, and the guys have to be gutted about the Montero situation.  But did they ever come through.

This team has the potential to be the real deal.  And to look good doing it, too!
