Fredy & Freddie are Ready

Don Ruiz at the News Tribune is reporting that both Fredy Montero and Freddie Ljungberg are ready to go for Saturday’s sold-out game against the Kansas City Wizards.

Montero has been fighting a flu that caused him to miss the trip to Toronto for last week’s match.

Ljungberg hyperextended his knee in that match and experienced some swelling. He was listed as day-to-day earlier this week, but as of right now, is ready for action on Saturday evening- even with it bandaged during training today.

So far, Montero and Ljungberg have been on the field together for 30 minutes this season. Having both Freds on the field together must be causing nightmares for Wizards Head Coach Curt Onalfo.

It will be interesting to see how Sigi will set up his lineup with both of them starting.
