San Jose, DC, Colorado Games Sold Out

Add another 3 games to the list of Sold Out matches for Sounders FC at Qwest.

The Front Office has announced that the 3 games at Qwest in June have sold out, making the total 9 on the 2009 Season… so far.

  • June 13 vs. San Jose Earthquakes
  • June 17th vs. DC United
  • June 28th vs. Colorado Rapids

So if you’re looking for a ticket, don’t be despaired. You can buy tickets to games at Qwest from current season ticket holders who are re-selling their tickets.

I feel like I am a lone ranger in this situation.  I hate.  I mean hate!  having the green tarp over the seats in the South End.  I e-mailed the FO and got no response.  I am sorry, but 4-5,000 makes a difference.  Now we are at nine games.  What gives.  Last time I mentioned this on your site,  there was not response.  Is there something I am missing?

I scream, you scream, we all scream at the green tarps,

I am not sure when or if they will open them up this season, we have enough of a window (i.e we are sold out for the next two months) that they can/should be opened.

But I still don’t think they would consider it until the regular season is sold out.  It’s sad but true.

Does anyone know of a possible waiting list scenario for next year if you are trying to purchase season tickets?

i think 5 hole has it on the nose. right or wrong, the FO is creating demand to sell out future games. the last thing they want is to open that section and not sell all of those tickets, or, worse yet, not sell out anymore games b/c people will feel they can walk up.

i am not sure if the flags have anything to do with the hesitation, but there were plenty of people not loving the flags in front of them for the opening game. if you open that section, do you make it GA and hence have people put up with the flags? do you make it assigned seatging and deal with peoples frustration with the flags? do you remove the flags?

there is no doubt they are thinking about it every day.

It’s a good problem to have.
