want to head to portland match, but don’t know how?

the portland timbers host our sounders in the next round of the US Open Cup on July 1st at 7pm. if you are new to this rivalry, well, there isn’t much love lost between us. i have never been to portland for a timbers/sounders game, but from the many stories i have heard, it isn’t for the faint of heart. it isn’t exactly millwall vs west ham, but the intensity is there.

if you are up for it, there are at least two organized trips heading down.
gorilla fc has a bus leaving around 2pm and picking up at northgate, fado, and tacoma. cost is $39 and includes transportation and your ticket

ECS is running pretty much the same gig. Bus departure times and locations are still TBA, but expect to leave early afternoon.

if you’re heading down by yourself, you can buy tickets on ticketbastard.

I am very new to United States (this is my first year in US). Back in India when I used to watch EPLs/El Clasico on TV, I used to so wonder how exciting it would be to watch a home game of the team that I support and even more be with travelling fans and attend away games (esp derby matches).
All my dreams are coming true here in Seattle :-) and I am not going to wait till 2011 for the derby clash. Travelling with ECS for the match of the year for a Sounders fan.
    Go Sounders Go!!!
