Nate Jaqua tallied two goals and an assist in Sunday’s match against the Colorado Rapids- that stat line has prompted MLS to tab the Eugene, OR native with MLS’s Player of the Week honors.

This was Jaqua’s fifth Career multi-goal game; his first as a Sounder. His first goal from the week’s match is up for Goal of the Week.

Jaqua is the third Sounder to be tabbed with the honors. Fredy Montero won the title for Week 1, Kasey Keller in Week 2.

Jaqua is a dork. Did you see the “guns” he did after his first goal? I almost fell off the couch laughing. Oh, and I mean this in the most affectionate way. Right now he’s my favorite player. Maybe I just identify with him better because I could see myself doing that too :)

I agree with you Beowolf.  That dance is hilarious.  Maybe the problem before was that Jaqua had been wearing his dancing shoes and not his shooting boots.  I’m glad he has been going with the latter lately.
