petite vs washborn tonight

why should you care? well you should care b/c this could be good news for the sounders. i am not a baseball stat head, but from what i understand, petite is a rather fast worker, and i know that Washburn is for sure. looking at the numbers, they are in our favor for a quick game… this is obviously better for the sounders fans watching on tv tonight. there are 2 things we need to hope for.

1. the yankees don’t crush washburn b/c we need him to stay in the game for his quick game speed and

2. the mariners provide washburn with the poor run support they always provide him.

i am a casual mariners fan, but i don’t care what happens tonight as long as this game is under 2:55 minutes.

    Thunderstorms are planned for NYC. Hopefully they force a cancellation and not a postponement.

    Last night at 7 pm, they were still in the 5th inning, so I have a bad feeling about tonight. I’ll have usllive.com fired up to watch if need be.

    Oh, and Cornchops, the game is in NYC, so you’d actually want the Yankees to be ahead in the 9th to cut that half-inning. But I can’t root for the Yankees. Never the Yankees.

    Despite all the ramifications for the USOC match being shown in it’s entirety, all I have to say is F*** the Yankees. Regardless.

    Looking at hour by hour.  The thunderstorm shouldn’t hit til after, but for over an hour of the game rain is expected….crap.

    FSN will almost certainly break to the Sounders-Timbers game during any rain delay, so this could work out to our favor.

    (Worst case scenario would be if Mariners come back to tie.  I love you guys, but not enough for extra innings.)
