After playing in Seattle, the London club will then take on Inter Milan at the Rose Bowl on the 21st, then AC Milan in Baltimore on the 24th. Chelsea’s US Tour ‘09 will conclude in Dallas against Club America on the 26th.
The Blues will be bringing most of their First Team to the States. The known exception will be Joe Cole who is still recovering from a knee injury. But Petr Cech, Ashley Cole, Didier Drogba (14 goals), Jose Bosingwa, Michael Ballack, John Terry, Nicolas Anelka (25 goals), and Frank Lampard (20 goals) are all traveling to the Emerald City.
Chelsea finished their 2008-09 campaign with a third place finish in the Premiership behind Manchester United. They also laid claim to the FA Cup title by defeating Everton in the Final. In UEFA Champion’s League play, the Blues lost to FC Barcelona on Goals Away in the Semifinals.
The London club last played in Seattle in 2004 when they took on Celtic at Qwest in front of a crowd of 30,500.
