Match 27: @ New England Revolution Preview
Seattle travels to New England for the first time as they start a 3-Game “Road Trip”.
The Sounders (9-6-11, 38pts) are in the midst of a Playoff Race and find themselves in a tie with with the Rapids of Colorado for 3rd place in the West (5th Place overall) as they play at Gillette Stadium on Saturday.
New England, as well, find themselves with 2 games in hand and 34 points in the East- which would be the 8th, and final, Playoff spot.
This is the second time the Sounders and the Revs will meet this season. New England walked away from Qwest on August 20th with a 1-0 win over Seattle thanks to a 21st minute goal by Shalrie Joseph.
In a battle for a very important 3 Points, New England is 6-3-3 at home this season. Seattle is 3-4-5 on the road.
Head Coach Sigi Schmid will have his full compliment of players at his disposal for the match in Foxboro. The Revs are in the same position.
