Get to Occidental early for the March to the Match

Posted by jt on October 23, 2009 · Under FC Dallas, Pre-Match · View Comments

With a playoff berth locked up, Sounders FC enter this weekend with big plans for the fans.  Here are a few reasons to get there early!

Prior to the March, the front office will be handing out t-shirts that say “I gave my Full 90″.

Northend Supporters have also created two-pole flags with Charlie Davies “9″ for fans to sign.

The march itself will head to Qwest for the season ticket holder monument unveiling.

In your seats will be place cards with Charlie’s “9″ – to be held up from 8:01 to 9:00 on the game clock.  ECS is pushing it, Drew paid for it, and the front office is making it happen.

In hope of breaking our home drought, there are groups of people who will be chanting ‘Come on Sounders score a goal…  Score a goal….  Score a goooaaaall’ until we find the back of the net.  Please join in, we can score in as little as 57 seconds, but this whole drought is beyond comprehension.

Post match hang around for the coaches and players – who knows what might happen next!  Rumors are there is pyrotechnics involved!

For those waiting for the photos from the Home Depot signing with Kasey Keller and Freddie Ljungberg, I’m finally getting things posted – thanks for your patience.

    I guess I’m a loser.

I don’t necessarily think we should be ‘celebrating’ a guy who was breaking curfew at the least (and it doesn’t take much cogitating to come up with likely scenarios about what really happened that night).

Where’s the police report? Who was the driver? What was the cause of the accident? Toxicology?

It’s damn odd that none of this has come out AND that police haven’t taken any of the likely scenarios off the table.

Until the whole truth comes out, meh.

I agree that there was some bad decision making, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t deserve our support.  We do know he wasn’t driving.

Being out late and letting someone (likely) impaired drive him are both dumb, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that he’s a member of the USA Soccer family.  For that alone, we wish him a full and speedy recovery.

I just looked into this more – evidently there is a meetup that is being sponsered / coordinated with a local radio station 106.9.

I just called the station and evidently the Sounders FC March isn’t even on their radar.  He’s aware of it now, and will be getting ahold of their promos people, but lets leave it at this may be “intresting”.

    This could be very interesting…

People dressed as Zombies attempting a world record meets, people dressed in green attempting to get a win at Qwest.

I wonder if the FO knows about this… Occidental Park is ours!
