Jaqua and Evans both up for Goal of the Week

Hmm, how to decide!  Break the streak of scoreless minutes or the game winner?

Evans.  It was a much better touch.  Jaqua was in great position, but there wasn’t anything he had to do but tap it in.

  • Nick

    Agreed.

The Evans goal really was a brilliant display of how a gentle touch can be so effective. And it was the game winner.

But I have to give much credit toFreddie on both for great crosses and also give Fredy credit on the first for a great job of controlling the ball back to Jaqua for the tap-in.

    I say vote for Evans.

    1.  His touch required more skill.
    2. It was the game winner
    3. Jaqua has already won GOTW

We have to be united if we want a Sounder to win it.

yea, i went with evans as well.

I gave it to Jaqua, even the the brilliant effort was buy Ljunberg and Montero.  Evans was a better individual touch, but holistically it has to go the the first goal.

Evans should get it, more skill; he rarely gets a shot on goal and won the game.  Jacqua gets a million and misses just about as many as he takes shots; plus, he was really just in the right place at the right time.  When his average get better, then he should be reconsidered for goal of the week.

5-hole deserves the goal and award, but it’s going to larentowiz (sp?) from NE.  The two SEA goals cancel each other out.
