my top ten “worst” moments of SSFC innagural season

first… an honorable mention for the red cards and refereeing. didn’t make the top ten b/c quit frankly i was resigned to the level of the refs well early in the season, so nothing really surprised me from then on out.
10. qwest security. i actually had my own issue with security at one point, but i am not going to go into that detail… but almost every week i hear of different security people being inconsistently inconsistent in how they handle different fan situations at qwest. please don’t get me wrong… i am not talking about how to handle people who have drunk too much, I am talking about flags, singing, fans yelling for their team, KIDS STANDING ON THEIR CHAIRS SO THEY CAN SEE…. etc. do they really need to pick on this type of stuff? Sebastien LeToux Taken by Philly
Sounders FC’s first player, Sebastien LeToux, has been selected by the Philadelphia Union from Sounders FC as a part of Philly’s Expansion Draft.
In the conference call, Head Coach Peter Nowack noted, that he “he was on the USL Sounder. I watched Le Toux, and was very, very impressed”. Nowack added that “He can play multiple positions. And he can score some goals.”
“With expansion comes the unfortunate consequence that you’re likely going to lose someone,” said Sigi Schmid, Sounders FC head coach. “Seba is a quality player, and it’s understandable that Philadelphia valued his abilities and brought him aboard. Read more

10. watching away games at the pub. I have loved the community of people that you get to know at the pub for the away games. during these matches, we aren’t ManU, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Barca, Inter, AC, Juve, Munich, Celtic, Lyon, Marseilles, Ajax, Porto or Scunthorpe United fans…. we are SEATTLE SOUNDERS FC FANS. as a sounder fan, I almost like that one crazy ManU lady that just gets on my nerves every time I see her…. almost. not quite.

Expansion Draft Discussion
The 2009 MLS Season is at a close and it is time to move forward to Seattle’s second year. The First Step is opening up the roster to possibly lose one player to the MLS newcomers, Philadlphia Union in theirExpansion Draft on Wednesday.
Looking at the Rules there are some bits of confusion- There’s no worrying with Steve Zakuani. As and un-graduated Generation Adidas player, there is no need to protect him or fear that he will be selected. But Freddie Ljungberg will be protected, but it is unsure if the Designated Player counts against the 11 or not.
Let’s say that Ljungberg & Zakuani do count against the 11, who do you protect? (select 11)

RSL wins MLS Cup
so if you want to know the parity of the MLS… well a below .500 team knocks off the best team in the regular season, and then the next best team in the east, and then the best team in the west.
i have no love for RSL, but congrats to them, they deserved it with the performances the put in the last 4 games.
and poor landy cakes…. he won the MVP trophy, but couldn’t hit the frame. i almost feel sorry for the guy.
