2010 Expansion at Qwest

So tidbits of information are coming out of the front office, and all looks good.  Currently working priority dates of 11/30/07 and earlier (when you made your deposit).

For starters, it looks like season ticket holders will claim up to 30,000 seats at Qwest, a big jump over the 22,000 we have in 2009.  What this means is that we are getting expanded seating, but not where some expected.  As I estimated earlier, the rim of the 300 deck will be sold for 2010.  These seats will be All-Inclusive, like those in the NorthEnd, and I would wager a little more friendly to those little ears (being behind an opposing keeper can cause vulgar comments to be heard).  Now it seems like renewals are 98%+, with little or no movement.  I hope you liked who you sat/stood next to last season – they’ll be back in the same place next year.

Partial season ticket holders should hear from the front office in the next week or two.

How many tickets will be available to the general public?  I’m not in a position to get season tickets, but still want to be able to attend some games.  If there are going to be 30,000 season ticket holders, that leaves only about 3,000 per game for general sale (based on 300 level for Playoff game).  Is this what we are to expect.

The total should be 5-6,000 for single game and groups per match.  I think the Seahawks are at 62,000 season ticket holders, and that only leaves 5,000 for single game sales.

I don’t see an issue, as long as they are willing to open up more seats when those available to the general public continue to sell out in 30 minutes…

I hope I get to hear from my rep in the next week or two!  I called (as a partial season ticket holder; already put deposit down for 2010) my rep last week and was told we wouldn’t hear from them until sometime in December!  Honestly you’d think they’d want to get everything sold before it gets too close to Christmas and everyone starts worrying about finances =).  Still crossing my fingers to keep my same seats!

I tried to get a fourth seat for my newborn daughter (well, she’ll need one eventually) and was told that the only seat available in my section (135) was nowhere near where my current seats are :(

I didn’t know my wifey was/would become pregnant when I ordered my original tickets, so now I’m in a pickle come when Emelia is old enough to require a ticket.  I dunna wanna move as the peeps around me are great and I’m right in the center of the pitch.

But what can I do when nothing else is available and my current seats are too good to give up?  I suppose we all have to make sacrifices.  I’m sure my wife will understand why she has to stay home while my daughters and I go to the game… :) ~
