Sounders Get Villanova Midfielder in Round 2

Michael Seamon from Villanova

Sounders FC grabbed midfielder Michael Seamon from Villanova with the 27th pick in the 2010 MLS Draft.

The 6’1″ Midfielder/Forward led ‘Nova in scoring each of his 4 years and was named all Big East Conference this season.

Ives Galarcep noted, “Reminds me a lot of Nick Zimmerman. Tall, fast and technical. He’ll be a great fit in Seattle’s system.”

    I read he is a really good finisher which is great to hear.  Leading scorer on his team for 3 years I think they said.

    A natural goal scorer who has led the Wildcats in scoring in each of his first three seasons … Excellent timing around the net … Knows how to make himself available at the offensive end … Works hard to gain possession and position to create scoring chances … An expert finisher who can score in bunches.
