Brad Evans Gets Called to USMNT

brad evans USMNTSounder FC Midfielder Brad Evans has been recalled by US Men’s National Team Coach Bob Bradley for the February 24 friendly with El Salvador in Tampa.

The U.S. players will gather in Los Angeles beginning on February 10 and train at the Home Depot Center through February 20. The team travels to Florida on February 21. The USA-El Salvador game starts at 4 p.m. PT and will be aired live on ESPN Classic and TeleFutura.

Evans, 24, will join the national team following the Sounders FC training game with the Vancouver Whitecaps FC on February 11 in Casa Grande, Ariz.
Evans, who has three international caps, was last called in by the USMNT for the January 23 friendly with Honduras. He did not play. Each of Evans’ three appearances came during the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Now entering his fourth MLS season, Evans scored three goals and added two assists for the Sounders FC in 2009. He started 25 matches and was a substitute in two others.
