i hate this jersey
chelsea jersey a few years back
and it might be our new 3rd kit. this is a unsubstantiated rumor, but a friend of mine was buying some new shoes this weekend, and the store employee told him that the 3rd kit was going to be neon yellow. he heard this from an adidas rep. so yes, this is a bit of a telephone game. i heard from a friend who heard it from a store employee who heard it from a rep, and hell, maybe that rep didn’t know what he is talking about.
so file this under the rumor category for sure, but if it happens, lord i will be pissed.

I HATE THIS JERSEY.
it reminds me of the my first ski jacket when i was a freshman in high school. as a 13 year old, i thought a neon yellow bugaboo jacket from columbia was the greatest thing in the world… that is, until i constantly got asked how many batteries it took to keep it lit, or asked if i could fill in as a traffic guard, or people put their sunglasses on to talk to me. yes, this color brings back some deep emotional demons that i thought i had supressed years ago, and it should not find it’s way onto our jersey. rave green is already pushing the envelope for me personally.
if this is our third jersey, i hope nobody with any sense decides to plop down $80 for it so the person that makes these types of decisions is sent a clear message
