Sounders second-year striker, Steve Zakuani, has launched a non-proft organization, Kingdom Hope.

The aim of the organization “is to inspire and help individuals to become great achievers both on and off the soccer field.”

The organization will include a number of programs including soccer camps, a scholarship, and life coaching.

Good for him.  Sounds way too much like a religious charity though.

  • Tim

Is that bad? He loves Jesus. It’s good, charity is charity. Better than nothing.

I agree.  It doesn’t matter what is driving you to love/help others; religion, personal conviction, or something else.  All that matters is that you are doing something good.

I don’t want to dive into a religious conversation, but I would think he would have something more soccer sounding since he wants to build state of the art places Congo, London, and here.

I think he should do whatever Steve wants him to do.
