The Club just issued a release that Sounders Forward Nate Jaqua will be sidelined for the first 6 games of the season.

The Seattle Sounders FC announced today midfielder/forward Nate Jaqua has been placed on injured reserve due to a pubic symphysis injury.

As a result, Jaqua is required to miss the first six games of the season. He is eligible to return to league play for the May 2 game versus Columbus Crew on the Xbox Pitch at Qwest Field.

Jaqua, 29, is entering his ninth season in MLS. Last season for Seattle, Jaqua started 27 of 28 appearances and posted career highs with nine goals and seven assists.

Well, that sucks. Despite what some other people seem to think, I really like him and think he brings a lot to the pitch when he’s playing. Well, here’s to hoping to a speedy recovery and a great second half season for him.

I feel bad for him.  Not a good year for him as a starter.  He will have 2.5 months (assuming he comes back on time) to start then he is riding the pine.

    We have no strikers.

Time for the 4-5-1 or Zakuani and Montero up front.
