Freddie Ljungberg has the same reaction as many Sounders Fans (by Chris Coulter)

Sounders FC suffered their third consecutive loss in MLS action as the Galaxy downed the club 1-3.

Seattle (4-8-3, 15 points) tried to ruin the homecoming for Landon Donovan and Edson Buddle, but the two connected in the 19th minute off of a corner kick to put LA up 1-0 which carried into the intermission.

Brazilian, Juninho, put the MLS-Leading Galaxy up 2-0 right after the break when he scored on a magnificent 30-yard shot perfectly placed in the upper 90.

The Rave Green saw some light and hope when Fredy Montero fed Steve Zakuani in the 66th. Zakuani split the defense and brought Seattle within 1. That hope faded eleven minutes later when James Riley pushed in an own goal in an effort to defend Landon Donovan.

The Sounders return to action on Wednesday against the same Galaxy as Seattle looks to continue their defense of the US Open Cup championship. Kickoff is slated for 7p from Starfire in Tukwila. [Tickets]

Seattle’s next match at Qwest is next Sunday, July 11th, when FC Dallas heads to town.

Was sitting at the table ranting over our problems when my girlfriend looks at me and says “but seamon’s good”.

Nice to be reminded that maybe it isn’t neccessary to be SO serious about it all, contrary to my personal belief.

    C’mon you Sounders!

Seamon and Keller;Monero… or who ever the other Columbian is,   and Nkufo, then steve..should keep him.  Trouble is:can they muster the kind of spirt that a team needs to win after being the loosers of this season? I know NYRB’s turned it around fast but I think that is the exception rather then the rule. I see next year as a slightly more succsessfull season where they start to sort things out and find talent. Maybe 2012 will be a good year for them. :-[

please put vagenas out of my misery, retire that excuse for a paycheck

This group does not play as a team. Yes, there are lazy asses on the squad, but the fundamentals of organization and communication are no where to be found. Honestly this team has talent. But talent does not create formations and plays. That is the job of the Manager and Sigi is failing miserably.
I am so sick of him making statements like; ” I thought we were right where we needed to be the first half” (that was not a quote from the LA game but a past loss). Really Sigi? You put the same tired, non-performing squad on the pitch every game and expect what? Certainly not a win. This team needs to be torn apart to the core and positions rebuilt with a formation that exploits our opponents weaknesses not ours. We are not going to accomplish anything this year the way Sigi has managed this team.
So knock heads together, put asses on benches, and reward hustle and energy. You have NOTHING to lose at this point.

i agree, ppl(Sigi, Adrian) need to start being held accountable. Even to the extent that its put into their brains that not only can players be replaced, but coaches and general managers as well…. time to light some fires under some asses…………….
