    unbeaten in electricity

unbeaten by sitting most of the starters…

    just sayin

  • Randle

I hope the inspired play in USOC/friendlies/electricity helps Sigi get this mess of an MLS season sorted.

    C’mon you Sounders!

  • Brad

IMG!!!!!!! My new job is working swings, so I am missing week night games. This just made my last break even better! At least there is hope for the sounders.

  • pbr206

    where’s bud…?
but in all seriousness, this just confirms my suspicion that the FO and sigi decided that a league championship is unattainable, and that the important trophies are the USOC and CCL…

  • bud

One win and it is easy to forget the trend.  We need to stay on the FO to make improvements.  Otherwise, we’ll be treated to getting beaten by DC, PHL, etc forever.

  • Jeromy

Never forget the trend, celebrate the win and see the hope. The front office see’s whats’s happening, i want to give them the benefit, so we will see what happens with the roster this off season tell then we can only hope for another USOC title ^^ GO SOUNDERS!!!

To all the Jaqua haters from last year…
    :P

  • Mark

    I missed his big head.

  • Gee

any chance at all the Semifinal will be held at Qwest? or atleast on TV? thank god this town loves soccer enough to show the online feed at bars.

  • LJ

Jaqua has started a trend with heading the ball into the net!!  First in Portland, then twice last night.  One of the main reasons for having a big guy up top.  It’s what we wanted last year… and it is finally clicking for him.  He’s looking really good!

  • Tacoma

    @Gee

I’m fairly certain the venue is fixed at being held at Starfire.  It really is a great place to play these games.  Let’s just hope that the MLS version of the Sounders can finally get a win over Chivas.

If we’re fortunate enough to win against Chivas–I hope the M’s don’t muck-up our chance at hosting the final and retaining our Cup.

  • MIKE

Sadly, the Semifinal Venue has already been announced as Starfire.

  • MIKE

Do you think Sigi wanted to secure the win when he had Leo & Riley in at the midfield wings with Wahl, Parke, Ianni, and Scott on the back line to end the match?

  • KE

no….sigi has just been playing them out of position all season because of injuries…

  • Anonymous

Unrelated question – does anyone know what is going on with our injuries?

Evans by the end of the month?  Same on Alonso?  What about Fucito, haven’t heard anything on that in weeks.   You got to feel for him – the great goal and then nothing.

  • Tacoma

Evans told me last night that he’s hoping to be back in 2 weeks. When I replied “2 weeks!?!’ he smirked and said he was pushing it.

Fucito is getting better and just started some light jogging this week and may be able to be back in about a month.

A good win. The team as a whole needed that. Here’s to hoping it leads to many more wins.

And I really like our chances against Metapan, even our resereves.

  • Randle

USOC final is set for October 5.

Mariners last game is October 3. Assuming the M’s miss the play-offs.

  • Brad

I agree, Jaqua has started a new trend, scoring goals!

  • Steve

There were bars doing the online feed?

  • john mercado

I was a little bit of a Jaqua hater last year, but after reviewing the season, I changed my mind.  Now he is coming back to his old form I can see why we suffered this season without him.  Is it just me or should Montano be first team?  He and Jaqua and sanna are hard to deal with.  Add Zakuani and most teams might have real trouble. Then sub in Montero after Montano is spent and you might have a killer team.

How come the feed was so bad?  I was on a very fast line and I know when it’s not my line that makes it stall and sputter, then there was the “Off The Air” displayed for some time.  I think the Timbers web feed was far better.

  • Me

    Unbeaten at Starfire?

  • JDW

    Safe assumption, I’d say.

  • Gee

Yea, at the Kangaroo & Kiwi! It was was on a huge flat screen, but still kinda hard to tell what really was going on the whole time.

  • Gee

with the way the M’s season is going, Our game should take precedence, and i say that with all due respect to the M’s and as a huge baseball fan.

  • overmars

The timber feed was great just delayed 20 minutes real useful

  • bud

    the feed sucked

  • pbr206

both feeds were utter shit… i cant believe that Kong isnt covering it… what do they have that is better to show? reruns of the andy griffith show or something?
