New MLS Adidas deal is a positive sign

August 30, 2010
By yamsmos

Montero’s Brace Leads Seattle to 3 Points

Fredy Montero spoiled Freddie Ljungberg’s return to Seattle as the Sounders won 2-1. Chicago went up when John Thorrington burried a penalty kick in the 28th minute.  The kick from the penalty spot was called on Jeff Parke when a cross hit him in the arm. Welcome Back Freddie. A Chicago Preview.

The underlining storyline for Saturday’s match will be the return of Freddie Ljungberg to Seattle. But a story of two teams posturing themselves for postseason MLS play is the reality as the Fire take on the Sounders Saturday night. Sounders FC finds itself with 29 points (8-5-8) from 21 games and 7th in...

Friday junk and stuff… and prawn sandwiches

August 27, 2010
By yamsmos

The biggest subplot of the game on Saturday night, by far, will be Freddie back in town. When scanning the blogosphere, it is easy to get the feeling that people want to make this into something that I honestly don’t think it is.  Freddie is not a villain and he isn’t an asshole. He is a player that...

Qwest Field will host that match on October 12th. It’s noted in the comments of yamsmos’s Monterrey Sucker Punch post;...

sucker punch

August 25, 2010
By yamsmos

Just got back from the game and here is to a big fat UGH. It is rare, but I don’t actually have many complaints. They were better. They did what they had to, especially away from home, and we didn’t. They had to absorb the pressure and look for a sucker punch… and they did it…...
