just bought my final tickets… you should too!!!

I just bought 8 tickets to the final.  Season ticket account holders all have an email in their inbox with a link to be able to buy the tickets so if you aren’t the account holder, then get on the phone and bug them.

Seating is on a First Come, First Sold Basis.

I got the email an hour ago, but just only now able to go and purchase (11:10am)… even though I bought 8, we are still 27 rows up, best available. I put in 2, just to see how many were sold, and you can get row J, or 10 rows up.

Looks like there are a lot of people buying even in the first hour. The prices are pretty good…

Season Ticket Holders- Go buy your tickets via the email link and let’s sell out the lower bowl so they are urged to open up, and sell out the upper bowl.

    FYI ticketmaster seems overloaded . . . tried to get on, finally did and said I wanted the tickets, then it went into terminally waiting to get to payment area.  Opened up a new screen and kept trying finally got in with that one and bought different seats. 8 tickets section119 row Q =).  Try again with a new screen if it seems to be on hold for too long!  Awesome it was only $88 total for 8!

    yah, I was waiting a while in Google Chrome browser, but got right in with IE browser.  Then I played for a while, only bad thing was that it doesn’t matter if you have 1 season ticket to your name or 2 or 4, you can only get 8 tickets to the match….I needed 9 :~P, oh well for a friend.

    Nic, I bought 8 originally and then went back for 4 more and it let me buy more.  They’re all GA though.  I guess it would be harder if you’re trying to get actual seats together.

    Yeah, it definitely looks like it’s allowing people to go beyond the 8 ticket limit.  Not sure if it’s a bug or something, but so far it looks like I could buy the whole stadium if I felt so inclined.  :)

    Yah, I tried to do the one more thing for like 30 minutes, it’s so hard when you want a specific seat…GA would have been much easier for it.

    It IS possible!  Kept hunting back and forth for more seats . . . initially I bought 8 tickets section 119 Q 1-8;  after not too much hunting I was able to get 5 more tickets directly behind me, 119 R 1-5!!!  Stoked because now my friends can join us!

    I just don’t get how the Sounders fail to understand that some (if not most) STHs want their same seats for these games.

    It’s not part of your season ticket package.  Therefore it is not your seat.

    There were administrative problems when STH didn’t purchase their full set of seats during the CCL (i.e. not buying the seats or not buying all of them).

    The FO is trying to eliminate that from happening again.

    The only people who are going to complain are those who have great seats and didn’t get to the email in time…

    I don’t have great seats, but I do have seats around people I like to see the game with. I won’t get to see the match with those folks.  And their email did not say first come first served. THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN HELPFUL INFORMATION.  The Sounders don’t really like to treat their best customers very well.

    Call your ticket rep. They can do wonders, if the tickets are still available. The STH on record ( insert multiple names on account rant here) did this and it was smooth sailing for our seats and six more, all together. Purchased @11am.

    Can’t wait.

    According to the ticket rep I talked to, they can’t help on this unless you are using credit from your account (previously sold season tix or ??).

    Yeah, not a big fan.  Was gone all day today… not looking real good for locations.  Why did they do it this way exactly?  I thought they’d at least let us buy our own seats… next to the folks I like to stand near, in the location I like to view from, etc!!

    Season ticket holders:  Don’t wait for you notification e-mail.  We hadn’t received hour e-mail but were able to log in and buy midfield club level seats.

    Actually, before Qwest was even built, the FO was promoting the charter seats as being ‘your seat’ for the life of the stadium, and used this in the sales pitch for seat licenses.  It was an explicit promise given in writing.

    I complained to my rep today. Administrative problems are not an excuse to not give the STH first shot at their seats. Especially for a Cup…  I’m extremely disappointed.

    Yep, call or email your ticket rep!  They can assist you.  I could only reach the ticket rep answering service when I called at 5:15pm tonight… gave my info.  and never heard back until I sent the ticket rep an email through the link on my account manager at 8:30 or so tonight.  Heard from him within 10 minutes after that.  He was still at work and set me up in my section, no problems.  But what a mess though.

    STH here, we got bumped from our seats because ticketmaster web interface didnt allow selection, and by the time my rep got back to me, our seats we’ve had since 2009 were alteady sold.  This was only a couple of hours later.  FO has pretty much hosed STH’s on this.

    We got seats 2 rows behind where we normally sit, but the way this was handled sucks.  The email said nothing and I had no idea it was a free for all that 2 years of STH had no reserve.  We usually got reserve, I would have bought my seats.   The lame-a%% excuse of its only a month away doesn’t sound right to me at all.

    If the MLS wants to be a top-flight league, then the ticketing policies need to reflect that.  No other major sports league doesn’t allow their STHs to purchase the same seats for all game in a season.

    why bother with tickemaster…called my rep and he hooked me up with my normal seats. very easy :)  very happy. go sounders!

    I GOT THE TICKET!  I called today before the pre-sale for non season ticket holders and got a rep on the phone, I asked him for the specific seat and he said I was lucky because that was the only one left available in that row.  He mentioned something about me being clairvoyant… :)

    Sorry Mike, I’m calling BS on this one.  “The only people who are going to complain are those who have great seats and didn’t get to the email in time”? I didn’t get the email until this morning, so through no choice of my own I’m not getting the tickets that I’d normally want. We’ll be lucky to get tickets near the field at this point. As for the people who have “great seats”, who do you think those are? STHs, no?
