Sounders Win. Advance to US Open Cup Final.
In front of 4,547 Sounders FC got two goals from Nate Jaqua and one from Fredy Montero to defeat Chivas USA 3-1.
Steve Zakuani assisted on the first two goals. The third goal, Jaqua’s second, came off a brilliant cross by second half substitute, Roger Levesque. Read more

US Open Cup Semifinal: Chivas USA
On Wednesday night, Sounders FC will have the opportunity to reach the US Open Cup Final for the second consecutive year. But to do so, they will need to get past Chivas USA in the semifinal.
A sold out crowd is expected for the match between the defending Cup Champions and the Chivas squad who is currently in the basement of the MLS Western Conference. Read more

As the title says, a point away from home, against a team that somehow has our number (we have never scored against chivas), isn’t the end of the world. However, given our current streak and expectations, well, we all expected more from this. and so we should.

Sounders head to SoCal to take on Chivas USA
Two of the most positively trending clubs in MLS will square off on Saturday as Chivas USA hosts Sounders FC at the Home Depot Center.
Chivas USA (5-10-3, 18 points) was riding a 4 match result streak before losing last week 1-2 against Toronto FC.
Seattle’s streak finds their 8-8-4 (27 points) record good enough for 4th place in the West and have won the last 4 MLS matches. A streak that has seen the Sounders out-score their opponents, 6-1. Read more
USOC Semifinal Tickets on Sale
Tickets for the US Open Cup Semifinal between Sounders FC and Chivas USA are on sale now.
The match is set for Wednesday, September 1st at Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila. Kickoff is slated for 730p.
Sounders Draw at Home Against Chivas, 0-0
The scoreless streak for the Sounders at Qwest Field stands at 585 minutes as Chivas heads back to Southern California with a point.

Seattle returns to Qwest Field with the US Open Cup trophy and a league win since their last match on the XBox Pitch as they face Chivas USA on Saturday.
Sounders FC (9-6-10, 37pts) finds itself in the midst of a Playoff run with 5 matches remaining against The Goats from Southern California (11-9-3, 36pts) who is also in the same post-season posturing.
Head Boss for the Sounders, Sigi Schmid, should have his entire lineup at his disposal for the match with no players facing suspension or major injury.
