Estrada Placed on Injured Reserve
The Sounders’ 2009 First Round Draft Pick, David Estrada, has been placed on the Injured Reserved “due to a right hamstring strain and right first toe sprain.”
He can return to MLS action against the Revolution on September 4th when Seattle plays at New England.
Freddie Ljungberg Out for FC Dallas
Matt Gaschk noted that Sounders FC designated player Freddie Ljungberg has suffered an ankle injury.
The injury will not require surgery and Ljungberg has not been added to the Injured Reserve, but he will not be available for Sunday’s match against FC Dallas.
Jhon Kennedy Hurtado placed on IR

Kasey Keller underwent an evaluation for his head injury Friday in Dallas before travelling to Toronto. He will be further evaluated on Saturday, when his availability will be determined for the Sounders FC match against Toronto FC on Sunday.

Zach Scott & Steve Zakuani to go Under the Knife

Steve Zakuani
Defender Zach Scott and midfielder Steve Zakuani are both scheduled to undergo surgery this week.
Scott will have a sports hernia procedure in Philadelphia on Wednesday.
Zakuani will have reconstructive surgery on his right shoulder in Seattle on Thursday.
Both are expected to recover in time to join preseason training in January.
Keller & Montero Cut Practice Short
Don Ruiz and Jose Romero both reported that Kasey Keller rolled his left ankle and had his Tuesday Practice cut short a bit.
Also, Fredy Montero did not practice due to a “low grade fever”.
