Third Kit Confirmed
We have the speculation about a third kit. Well, Don Ruiz has passed on the indirect confirmation of the 3rd jersey, and noted “the unveiling could come early next week.”
A 3rd Kit Comes Closer…
(Updated 4/14 to include a Cascade Shale) SoccerWest noted that they were expecting a 3rd Sounders jersey “in the coming weeks” on their Twitter page… There has been tons of speculation as what that color will be- from a white “retro” jersey to a cascade shale version.
Well, what do you think about a yellow jersey? We know that yamsmos hates it.

i hate this jersey
chelsea jersey a few years back
and it might be our new 3rd kit. this is a unsubstantiated rumor, but a friend of mine was buying some new shoes this weekend, and the store employee told him that the 3rd kit was going to be neon yellow. he heard this from an adidas rep. so yes, this is a bit of a telephone game. i heard from a friend who heard it from a store employee who heard it from a rep, and hell, maybe that rep didn’t know what he is talking about.
so file this under the rumor category for sure, but if it happens, lord i will be pissed.
chelsea’s jersey a few years back prompted one of my favorite chants of all times… “are you stewards, are you stewards, are you stewards in disguise…. are you stewards in disguise”

Let’s Discuss a Third Kit
Seattle Fans love the Rave Green Jerseys and others enjoy the success in Sounder Blue, but the discussion of a possible third kit always brings out everyone’s opinions. Especially the all-white commemorative kit.
Earlier this week Sounders FC General Manager Adrian Hanauer was asked about a cascade shale alternated jersey to which he replied, “I can’t promise shale grey but there might be a little surprise in the jersey category coming this summer.”

Sounders Record by Kit
In case you missed it, the Sounders wore their Sounder Blue Jerseys on the road in Columbus last weekend and remain undefeated in that hue.
Ozzie Alonso in each kit (for yamsmos)
- Seattle is now 2-0-1 wearing the Blue Top- Blue Shorts- Green Sock Combo (2.33 ppm)
- In their traditional G-B-G, they are 12-2-6 (2.1 ppm)
- While sporting G-G-B, they are 2-4-4 (1.0 ppm)
- In the Rave Green from head to toe (G-G-G), Seattle is 0-3-0 (0.00 ppm)
As a note, these records include international friendlies and US Open Cup matches.
Petition for Commemorative Kit
The discussion and vote on the All Blue Kits from a week ago shows that people are interested in what our Sounders are wearing.

Maybe you thought that Rave Green was ugly and you bought the Sounder Blue Jersey instead. Then you were wondering why you spent your money.
Well, the Front Office announced today that the Sounders will be wearing the all-blue alternate kit for the first time on Wednesday when they take on the Portland Timbers in the Third Round of the US Open Cup at PGE Park
As a note, Sebastien LeToux has two goals and two assists in US Open Cup play this year. In 2007 and ’08, he was the US Open Cup goal scoring leader (with 5 in each of those Cups).
